Jiggin thank you for videos 10 and 11 . Very convenient to have a beach area right off the road to store your shanties. You have one good group of people in the Newfound Circus looking after each others shanties and helping each other get them on and off the ice.
I'm curious how many hours of video footage do you shoot in an average season?

Thanks very much Mr. Clean, we do have a good group of folks in the Newfound Circus and a very clean lake. The Circus seems to be growing each year too! I like that.

The amount of hours taken during the season varies. This season, not so much in terms of hours of footage. I still have another 3 - 4 videos to make before I'm done. This season we will only get less than 20 episodes due to poor ice conditions.

Last season we had a ton more, somewhere in the mid to high 30's episodes.

I like to pass out the GoPro's (we have 5 of them) to others to help collect footage during the season to gain other's experiences but again due to poor conditions that really didn't pan out too good this year. We were all fairly close to each other so didn't really need a lot of cameras in a small area. We typically all spread out across the lake once the ice is good enough for travel so that's where all the cameras come into play.

I can tell you this, it is a bunch of hours recorded that i have to wade through each second in order to not miss anything "special". It takes me about 2 - 3 weeks on average to put one video together as I pick away at them during the evening. There is a ton of video cut out in order to keep them within the 15 minute time frame for Youtube. This also makes it difficult as some of the footage i hate to get rid of but need to.

Thank you for the reply and information Jiggin. You have a lot of money invested in video equipment between the cameras and the drone. Thank you again for all the footage always enjoyable also helps me put a face to certain Ice Shanty members user names.
