Levels are still fluctuating. Don't rely on anything on the net for actual ice condions. At eom, I tested the ice all the way to my spot. Varied from 3" to 6". Test for yourself.

I dont, but it's nice to know whether to even leave to try since it's a drive.

I agree 100%. Test it yourself  and be safe. Conditions can change daily on the rivers. I've witnessed a person fall through in mid Feb when trucks were all over the river.......it happens. Blue Igloo

Stopped by CIL last Tuesday Dec 15. There appeared to be 2 small perms and one 6 person tent directly across from the access ramp and 3 cars in the parking area. There were also two fisherman a bit further south in the open. All appeared to be above the easternmost drop off of the main channel. Colder weather since however as always test for yourself as current can change.

What's the bite been like these past few days? Heading out tomorrow morning with all the new gear! Hopefully hit the ice 3 times this week!

I was out there again yesterday and the bite was still really good.lots of sauger lots of goldeye.couple limits of walleye and 3 nice big burbot.  From 2pm till 4pm was really slow again.managed to pull up 2 or 3 during that time. Salted minnows were out performing the lives all day. I lost count but the numbers were in the 30s when I left

Bite slowed down yesterday but iced a bunch of sauger. Tons of marks on the Humminbird.
