It's close to 5 inch of ice near Gardiner dam in the main lake. The battle lines between nascent ice and wave are still apparent. There is 1/2 inch of snow to ease up walking.

Roughly 10 inches at prairie, quad safe.  Caught some jumbo perch and buddy caught a jumbo and a few walleye. Nothing on tip ups.  Great day none the less

Elbow harbor is closest. It is around 1 km south of Elbow.

People are fishing right at the launch at Elbow Harbour. Still just walking on and the occasional sled. Haven't seen anyone leave the harbour yet and no vehicles on the ice. Ice was about 7" on Thursday.

Lots of fish and lots of species for sure. But the depth map is close to uselessness.

Wicked day on dief yesterday, fished all day and only had a couple hour lull that we didnt have any action. Managed to catch lots of walleye a few perch one really nice rainbow that we lost as we brought it out of the hole and one 15 pound pike. Awsome day! Ice was really noisy but was a good solid 8"-9" where we were in a little bay

My son and I only caught walleyes and white fishes in the 16-19" range. It's strange that we caught nothing bigger or smaller besides the nine fishes.

I was fishing near the farm(about a mile away)on Sunday with 8" of ice. I would guess it'll be close to a foot thick by the weekend.

Anyone been out at Coteau bay (not Coteau Beach) lately?  Was thinking of driving down for the day on Sunday.  Curious for any updates on ice conditions and/or fishing?

Headed out to diefenbaker this weekend in the elbow area. This summer we killed the walleye ! Only caught one pike hoping to get more of the same ! Anyone have any insight on targeting the perch ? Last winter a few schools went by and we hit quite a few perch but we were in very shallow?

I still haven't left the Harbour. Ice is thickening up now. About 12" in the Harbour. Still have not seen anyone venture out onto the main lake from here. Have been picking up the occasional perch in about 25'. Also a burbot. A few pike being caught. See whitefish go by on the camera.

Well I hope we snag something up !! I almost convincing myself to fish in the deeps because of the success this summer we had in 14-27 feet of water .

thats one thing I learned about ice fishing dief, dont be afraid of deep water. Ive seen trout, perch, small pike, walleye and whitefish come out of 50+ feet of water in the winter

So the results were pretty damn awesome drilled a lot of holes started off shallow and the perch were hitting and ended up on some great structure ! 50 holes later we set up and started landing fish ! Our deepest holes were 37 feet

Not this winter, but I spend a lot of time out there when the ice is off.

Not sure about access in the winter, if there isn't to much snow you might get in by the dam on the east end?

You can still get into the east end by the dam, but if there is a dump of snow and wind that will be the end. Nobody fishes around Douglas much in the winter. Another spot to try is at the boat launch at Mistussine.
