anyone fish today? thinking about heading that way Sunday. Gave Packer's a try this afternoon and didn't mark one fish. watched a couple of nice crappie come out but that was about the just of it.

The bite was very slow, Just one pike for me. Didn't see to many fish brought up by those close to me.

Up from Wyoming all weekend and the bite was slow the last couple of days but today the the bite was on. The perch were big and the pike were aggressive

fished this morning from 10-2, bit was slow for us. caught 4 pike all day, had 6 rods out. Dead sticks weren't doing as well as jigging in the hut was. not sure where you found the perch cause it seems like I looked everywhere!

How thick did you all find the ice? Any particular areas of concern?

not where we were at, off hunters in about 13' of water we had at least 10"s, noticeably thicker than when we were out last weekend. did notice some fracturing but nothing of concern. lots of wheelers still out and guys were spread all the way down the lake on them. hope that helps

I'm trying to plan a trip for the third week of January. I would like to come to Box Butte. In the past, I have stayed in my RV at Hunters Point. Sounds like the road is pretty torn up in there. Is it possible to camp in the campground up by the dam? I don't need hookups, just a place to hopefully have a campfire. Is the fishing good up by the dam? I have an ATV, so I could go anywhere around the lake, but it is nice to fish close to the camper. Any info is greatly appreciated

headed out this morning, will report when I return. think we are going to try a different spot today so hopefully things pick up. got reports from a few guys a decent sized perch being caught. got my contour maps in hand, and a huntin we go!

fished it today from 7ish till 1. bite was good this morning. picked up about 12 pike (nothing with any size to it), and 2 perch around 8inches. cool thing was we got the perch on the homemade jaw jackers! good to know that they work even on a light bite, all in all best 7 bucks I've spent so far this season. looks like the kid wants to get out tomorrow so gonna head back up that way and see if we can't get a repeat.

Fished sat and sun 20 plus gills few perch 1 just over 12in and a few pike and 16in largemouth

Most the day was in 13ftw and the late evening was 6ftw with tungsten glow and yellow pimple both tipped with waxies

we had a good weekend up there last week. just couldn't get the perch to bite though. just ordered some new clam tungsten glows so hopefully those are going to do the trick.
