Got on the hardwater today for the first time

Got out on a small lake in SW MN today. Roughly 2 inches but it was pretty good ice, didn't catch nothing but had some marks on the sonar and I was happy with that. Hopefully this snow coming doesn't screw the ice up too bad.

I agree that looks iffy to me. Anything gray is bad ice.

You'll be a legend on 2 inches.4 inches of ice is good and no ice is 100 percent safe. Use your head.

Nice. I was gonna try some ponds, but I'm about 45min south of the MN boarder. Gonna wait till this coming weekend.
