Took a drive Saturday to Lamont and it was capped maybe 3/4" of ice.  With this cold should be fishable on the hard deck this weekend would be my estimate.  Be safe if you venture out sooner...road going in was packed snow and icy...

We fished Twin last week. 6" of good hard ice and the fishing was good. From what I've heard Weston is a little slow. Not sure on Johnson but it should have plenty of ice by now.

Where were you fishing on Twin Lakes?  Fished there several times but usually hit or miss.  Never caught any panfish through the ice there and that's usually what we are looking for.

i'm gonna be hitting twin this weekend. if you want to find panfish, find the green weeds. bluegills and crappie usually stick to the weeds as long as they're alive. once they die off, the fish skedaddle for better foraging.
