Blue is going for Blues tomorrow

Starting this hardwater season tomorrow on another long distance adventure with friends....stay tuned for pics and a report (good or bad  :P

the big az walleyes last year got me depressed enough for 2 yrs. and now the gills just slam them I guess I'll find the crying towel

Well, it felt good to finally step on the hardwater. The Bluegills were evasive but those slimey green snot rockets were on the prowl  ::) Ice was anywhere from 3 to 6 inches thick. Nice shiny black ice in most places. Went on with a rope & buoy, ice picks, floatation (ARTIC ARMOUR) suit and boot picks. Beautiful weather and good times......that's what it's all about  :thumbsup: Bonus sightings of moose, coyote, foxes, Snowy owl and plenty of deer.

Way to go blue, good to hear you found some fish, even if they were not the target species. :)

Maybe the pike kept the bluegills away. I have seen the perch and walleye disappear when the pike move in.
