What's your goal for this season?
« on: Nov 28, 2015, 04:34 PM »
What's everyone have for a goal for this season?
I'll start:

1) try some fishing in New York this year.
2) a walleye 10 pounds or larger (been trying for almost 10 years hasn't happened yet).

My first goal is to get out more and have fun with family and friends. 2nd is: Catch that record breaker. Personally anytime on the ice is a great time.

There's a hole in the ice, Dear Liza, a hole.

Well fish it, Dear Henry, Dear Henry, Dear Henry

I do not have small hands, and want the walleye that I could have put my fist in its mouth and not even touch its teeth, that is if its still alive.

10lb Eye, and a 40" pike are on the lifetime achievement list, but for this winter I'm hoping to be able to get to the point I can jig up pike at least somewhat consistently.
I'm a man, but I can change, If I have to, I guess.

To ice fish literally every single day there is ice, even if it's a few hours, or the whole day. I'm sure by the end I'll be tired of ice fishing and ready for a boat :)

As for fish, anything that bites for me. I've caught a 26" walleye, and 42" Muskie (both my best, and I wasn't fishing for either at the time, actually never).  The lake I'll fish the most has some 6+lb bass you catch every 5 years.  Use to have big crappie but there are just too many bass in the lake so just tiny ones now.

Just started this addiction last year. Its all new to me so my goals are to:

1  Get away from the crowd and find fish on my own. (I tried a little last year but was somewhat
    lost)

2  Make it up to Michigan for a few trial runs. Anyone got a place to start for a beginner, that would be greatly appreciated.  Maybe somewhere around the Port Huron area. I was thinkning of trying Lake St. Clair. My inlaws live in that area so would like to try it.

I want to see how small a fish I can catch on a palm rod.

I want to catch a laker.
The next time you think you know it all, try telling someone else's dog what to do.

If you fish lake st Clair for perch do not waste your time on the US side, youll have to drive to Canada to see what kind of perch lake it really is.

I just bought a small ice hut (6X6) and my goal is to go fishing every day.  I fish in the Saguenay river and I fish for smelt close to shore.  Sometimes we catch brook trout.  I am also getting my snowmobile repaired so that I can drive out to deep water and catch cod, halibut and ocean perch.

There was no fishing last year even though it was an extremely cold winter.  The tides, winds and cold did not match up well and the municipality where I fish did not allow any huts on the ice.  I'm hoping that this year will be better.  My grand daughters are also hoping that ice conditions will be good.
