Pop-up's

What's a good pop-up ice fishing shelter with one of the plastic floors in them. Interested in purchasing one but want one with a floor. Saw one at Indian hill but don't remember the brand

Depends on the space you need, how many people, how much gear, what you have to move it, etc

I am looking to put a cot and stay over night. Watch something with a floor to keep your feet off the ice and to help stay warm and dry. I am fine with a 2 to 4 persons one but also don't want to go bankrupt.

I bought a shappell 5500 for last year and love it.its not too big or small for 2 guys plus gear and my lil buddy keeps it toasty.no floor in this one but its not needed in my opinion.

If your looking to overnight in it than a smaller one might keep the heat better. I would recommend looking at the discontinued S2000 and S3000 cabins.

i have 3 shappell's. the dx3000, wide house 6500 and fx100. i don't use the dx3000 any more. sounds like the thing to keep for over night on ice tho.
the wh6500 has tons of room and i use harbor freight anti-fatigue mats on the ice some times.
the fx100 is the easiest to move around and easiest to set up and take down and load and unload. a square of the harbor freight anti-fatigue mat is good on that too if sitting for a long time.

the dx3000 suit case shanty from the s3000 is the head room. the dx has plastic roof bars to hold up the extra fabric used to give more height. i can stand up straight in it and i'm 6 feet. the s300, i could not and it bothered me enough to sell it and buy the dx model. the ski kit is kind of a joke compared to smitty skies, but better than plowing snow with it. i use smitty ski with it and not the add-on ski kit i have on it.

for room and being able to walk around and have all my gear under a roof, the wide house is best. to keep all of my ear under a roof , but no t able to move the fx is nice. to have more room and be able to stand up the the dx is nice, but a lot of gear has to stay out side so i use a sled cover.

The s2000 seem a bit to small for me. Is a floor really need. Thinking spending a couple days in it the ice would melt a lot inside.

I would get Eskimo quick fish 3 or 4 get the insulated one an just put some thin rubber matting in it if u want to sleep in it. Alot cheaper. I got a quick fish 3 an love it. Cheap quick to set up quick to take down. I cut out some thin rubber matting an use that for my floor. Quick fish 3 packs really well too.
