Needed a perch fix no time to wait for ice.  Got some good hiking in, saw a herd of deer,a muskrat, an Osprey hammer a fish Gawd them things hit the water hard!  Found this little guy hanged, musta been caught rustlin' or sumthin.

 Shallow. 4-8 ft max.   A little 4-pointer.  Yah with the weather coming in, couldn't pass up today!

I caught 2 small browns while fishing for perch,after my perch limit I targeted brownys but absolutely nothing.

A lot of algae everywhere musta been a turnover?

Is this that same lake you go to that has methane (or whatever) bubbling up to make holes in the ice? Evidently, this lake needs the perch thinned out a bit, eh?

I know that Lake, it's beautiful up there 👍 I iced it many years ago and caught a crap ton of perch and a dandy brown. Hit me up if it gets cold enough to cap it and I'll hike up with ya.

That's a fun lake when it freezes. Never done well for trout their but the perch are fun
