Skim ice everywhere!!!

All the smaller farm ponds are skimmed, let's get the gear ready!

Now I just need to keep from looking at the forecast.

No ice around Lincoln for another couple weeks, I fear...40s and 50s in the 10 day forecast!  Bummer.

Was out in the boat for one last time this year on Wed water temp was still 46 at Fremaont lakes.

Originally the weather forecast last week looked favorable for ice by December 2 or 3 - but temps have been slowly rising.  Those upper 40s and 50s have us looking at mid to late December best case scenario.  Bummer

single digits last nite, walked on stock tank ice this morning, solid enuff .  30s/40s next week=no good!!

Single digits?  Wow...nothing close to that here...sounds like December is supposed to be warmer than normal.  I can't believe I was fishing in Lincoln last year on November 18.

I traveled from Lexington to Hastings to North Platte chasing my kids today and every inerstate lake had some ice on it. So hopefully it is a sign of good things to come. It is still a few weeks out but it helps with my urges.

Saw some ponds frozen over with snow on them here out west near Scottsbluff.
