So I called Ardisan in Wisconsin and their head auger assembler listened
To it on the phone and said it was fine . Without a load on it the gear
Box can be a little Grindy .

Question ......how are you keeping your battery warm , other than in your jacket .

    Thanks DMA

Just put your battery in a small cooler with one or two hand warmers and it will stay warm for hours.

I just fixed the gas tank on my auger  but I looked into these . are they a fair weather thing? I go fishing in -20 sometimes wondering if this would kill the power
until I figure out how to fish for a living, I live to fish!!

I've only just purchased mine this year, so not sure how it will preform in really cold weather. From reading the manual it says to keep the battery warm, but the auger it self can be left outside without any problems.
