nice video.thats what I do till ice up.winter steelhead fish but in a way crappier boat.haha.it always amazes me that steelhead are so aggressive still in cold water temps.

Thanks guys.  Bryan yes I still work a little bit here and there but nothing like what I used to work.  Crazy how aggressive the steelhead can get when water temps get that cold.

Fall run was terrible but in the past 2 weeks we have got a good push of winter runs.  12 lbs 12 oz. today.

Population of king salmon is really bad and will continue to get worse IMO with low stockings.  Even if we get aggressive stocking again it is a 4-5 year turnaround before we will see it how it used to be.  Not sure if spending a lot of money on stocking is a wise idea if there really is the lack of food out in the lake like they say there is.  Based on the size of the fish caught this year I'm going to have to say it makes sense with a major shortage of bait fish in the great lakes.  Our annual Salmon Camp trip to the P.M. river was a complete bust this year.  Walked miles and miles of river in between seeing fish, the past few years it was the closest thing you could get numbers wise without going to Alaska.  This year we had more cohos in the system than steelhead.  I think there are still plenty of trout around but the lack of food has a majority of them very thin.  Fish I caught today was massive compared to a majority of the others I have got this fall.  Several of them are rail thin.  They still fight like crazy and are excellent table fair just smaller in size.  We will have to see but I'm hoping for the best.  Gives me another species to pursue though up until we get safe ice.

Thanks Jeff.  Got a few more today.  River temp is 43.9.  Temps for the next 10 days will be in the mid to high 40s so looks like the bite may still be good for a couple more weeks at least.
