Bradys Landing
« on: Nov 18, 2015, 08:11 AM »
Just a heads up ppl...bradys will be closed to ice fishing...due to lack of respect to property owners in the area ...they have been very patient over the yrs....and now have had enough ....The owner of the landing will not allow access...this is private property....sorry it has come to this but we all seen it coming

I don't fish Sylvan a lot even though my parents have a place there.  However, it seems that more and more places to park are hard to come by.  Camp Perry announced that it is closing up shop too.

Be courteous, pick up your trash, don't be loud, be as clandestine as possible taking a leak and realize it isn't your property and these places that are closing wouldn't close.
That's some tasty iced tea.

that's probably to help pay for cleanup and upkeep of the toilets after idiots choose to take a crap on the floor instead of the toilet sitting right next to him. It's the things like this that is gonna shutdown a lot of productive spots. Bradys, Lake James, Wawasee....

That's a great theory but there's many trashies including the flickers of cig butts. Maybe the DNR  can start a flick it and ticket program.

The already do have a flick it n ticket program, it's called littering and they can slap a $200 ticket on you if they really wanted to for leaving butts and trash on the ice.

will be a lot more company up town this year then.

if they seen you tosss the trash they would give you a ticket, bet on it!  cant just give tickets to people close to random trash laying around.  as far as cig butts go, i had a CO tell me it was just cotton and paper so he could care less. i bet if he seen ya toss one down he would pinch ya though. lol

like said, dont throw trash down.  there is almost always a pickup truck close by to toss it into. lol

I just talked to Margarette the owner and yes it will be closed to every one that does not have a pass from her.
I talked to her and said that it was a shame but understand and totally respect her decision.  the problem is lack of respect for others property and privileges that people are given then take advantage of. She is a great lady and very friendly its a shame it came to this but 3 buckets of trash and horse manure left by certain people then they have to grade the drive. I did get a pass they are $20.00 only 5 left.

Happy Fishing everyone
let the ice begin.  lol 50 degrees next week ill be out in the boat

How do you tow a horse and buggy?.  Chances are the Amish will try to park there permission or not like they do other places marked no trespassing.

well, if there were only 5 left, they are gone by now.  better hit up the neighbors for passes too! lol  why would they put a limit on the passes to sell?  run it, first come first serve parking as always.

My guess is to make sure that there's enough room so people don't start parking where they shouldn't.

If you had a horse n buggy why stop at the ramp.. Giddy up.. Right out to the hole
There is only one theory about angling in which I have perfect confidence, and this is that the two words, least appropriate to any statement, about it, are the words "always" and "never."
