« on: Nov 17, 2015, 07:22 PM »

I am sick of this weather..... Here is to hoping it gets cold soon, I would be happy to see a puddle freeze over at this point!!!

Any thoughts JoeGG? When is the cold coming?

It'll happen. In the meantime I'm getting my new jet sled set up. Beefing up my jig selection, working on a 2lb test set up. And I am trolling for rainbows in the am. Not sure how cold it will be but I'll be fishing.

I finally saw ice on a puddle this am.  The way the jet has been looking I am afraid that the El Nino may postpone our start this year.  someone please fire up a good polar vortex!

been watching the weather and hearing my peeps talk about how "nice" it is down in S. NH & MA... meanwhile.. when it's 60 during the day there it's barely been 45 here and every night in the teens for a while now. Same for the 10 day FC coming up so hopefully things will start hardening up in the coming weeks! A week from now this time last year we got almost a ft of snow as you all likely recall, so who knows but plenty of "work/prep" to do in the meantime.

Any luck with whites? If so any size , or just the cookie cutters that lake produces?

Saw lots of ponds starting to show a skin of ice this morning in southern NH - and was wondering, are we really behind last year or does it just feel it because of all the warm weather we had in early November?

I know we had snow for Thanksgiving last year, but were we on ice already?  What dates were you guys first out last season on the ice and do you think we'll make those same dates this year?

Happy Thanksgiving...

I made it out in the second week of Dec last year in the middle of the state... would be a surprise if that happened this year, but I sure as hell hope so! Gobble Gobble....  let it freeze!

I've been fishing for a lot of trout lately, figured I would try something different today. Threw the boat on top of my car and went to my favorite local warm water spot and BOOM too much ice to put it in! So now I'm just excited for ice fishing. Next week is gonna be cold, too!
