Thank you people
Ive never even tried to fish for carp in winter as they feed only sporadically and slow down their metabolism, panfish ,pike and muskie are more fun at winter .
With good spot and some baiting i am sure you can get some carp over ice .
As for searching i am member of many other forums so most definitely search button will be used often ;-)

Welcome to the site. I actually did catch a small (1.5-2lb.) carp through the ice many years ago jigging for pans. remember thinking it was a bass at the time. We had a good laugh about it. ;)

don't worry too much, we usually don't get on the ice until Christmas, sometimes later. We got spoiled a bit for the last few winters. Might not be as good as some, but it will get here.

Welcome,lm26sk. Luke did not say he ice fished for carp. He just happened to mention he fishes for carp. In over 32 yrs of ice fishing, I've never caught or heard of carp caught through the ice. I'd be very interested in learning anything at all about how to approach this type fish problem. Seems as if carp would be very difficult to catch.

Carp can be brought through the ice. This was last winter in Maryland at Blairs Valley.
