Got home from hunting this morning and looked up Lynng's post on break in.
. That sounds more like it
I used a different break in. Start drill 20 holes done.
Hey Chris, could you copy that link to me? Couldn’t find it. Thanks!
Joe, here you go. Same basic procedure is also recommended by Frank DeLuca (SharpNils). I used it to break in my Tanaka 350 and it has run and started great.http://www.iceshanty.com/ice_fishing/index.php?topic=295631.msg3093405#msg3093405
Thanks lynng! I’ll make it so! It’ll be a while for some ice, Pretty sure my spud will see action first. Maybe we can put a few on the ice together sometime.
I'd like that; think we will have enough ice by February . I have the Nils auger, both the 8 and 10 inch. In early season I just stick the handle on the 8 inch and use it as a hand auger. It is amazing how easily that thing cuts compared to my old StrikeMaster.
Is that all that really needs doing, bee. It does sound more like it. I was surprised to hear about gentling the thing into action like that. I can’t find the adjustment point you told me about. Where the heck is it?
Seeing any deer 44? It's been friggin dead along rt 9 and down the bog in Deblois... I'd be happy to see a doe....
Right down pathetic. Suggesting to me the mature bucks were to worn out to survive the deep snows after the rut. We are all hoping that if we get some cold weather things will change, but I am concerned for the herd. It doesn't look good.
Back to the break-in. It started better today and did the final procedure. It seems to run fine, wish I had a foot of ice to try her out in. Looked for a primer bulb, found nothing on this model Fishlessman.
Fired mine up yesterday. Both of them.
I just started doing Jiffy auger curls and dead lifts yesterday. Time to get the legs, back and arms in shape.
