Ice fishing 2015-2016
« on: Nov 10, 2015, 11:54 PM »
Started to pull out my ice fishing gear today after getting back from the river. Extremely excited for this up coming year after a great season last year! Also excited for bass pro to open up so I can grab a few new items. Hopefully we get some cold weather in the next month or 2 and get the hard water fishing going!!! Hope everyone is well and had success over this summer!!

A few guys have been getting there gear ready,I myself started to make my rendition of a automatic hook setting device, I have not named it yet.Along with converting a few cross traps to the Indian head style. It looks like we will not get on the ice until mid dec.around here.

I've been readying my ice gear for a month.  ;D With a little luck we'll get all the warm weather out of the way early and have a nice cold winter.

I hope so fellas!!! Last year we didn't get out until a week or so into January but I'd love to start in December. The earlier the better so we get more chances to pull some fish through the hole!! Just bought a electric auger with the drill motor I'm excited to use it and punch a number of holes in a day it will make it so much easier!

Had my stuff out for a month also. Only saving grace for delayed ice will be a good deer season. Warm weather and acorns may slow that down too. Oh well there's a steelhead trip coming up. Got to fill in the gaps.

Dropped of a saltwater reel at CTO to be serviced. The guys had some of the stuff out. Said they have a bunch of stuff coming in again. Cabelas had some hubs up and looked to be getting ready as well. Pretty much set for this year.
