Moved to Maine
« on: Nov 10, 2015, 09:23 PM »
Hello Ice Shanty,
Just wanted to introduce myself to the community. I'm originally from Western Mass and grew up targeting pike. Spent the last eight years in Boston targeting bass. Excited to attempt my luck with the brookies, my wife and I are living by Higland lake. Lookingforward to meeting everyone on the hard water.

Welcome to Maine

Welcome to Maine and to the board!  Plenty of brookies around, both stocked and wilds.
If you haven't already, make sure you familiarize yourself with the rules for the bodies of water your fishing, just about every other body of water has some special regulations

If you don't want to wait, there's some stocked ponds that are in your area that are open to C&R with artificially only. Those restrictions usually go untill dec/jan

Welcome!

I moved from Southwest NH a year and a half ago. The fishing is definitely something else.
