I'd like to be able to report 5" of hard ice and making another inch every night. However, the water temperature is really at 49°, down from 53° last week. At this rate, we won't be drilling until the middle of December unless the cold weather steps on the gas. That was a pretty brutal lake to fish last season. Some guys did okay but many more took a beating. Got me thinking about some new lakes and some new species to explore. The lake inherited some decent Antero fish but probably also some Antero fishermen. I came upon this video last night that Matt Pelletier put together a few years back fishing over at Sucker Cove.
Shows Dynamic Lures and JawJackers in action and some very nice trout.
