I've just about got the rod bench ready. Added a couple things this morning.

Time to start up the jig factory

Got an order of jigs, marabou and stuff from Janns the other day. Those folks are great to deal with. Just about everything I order from them gets to me in 3 days. Great service.

Got the jig factory up for a test run today.

Y'all were right about cleaning the eyes before curing. I'll remember at the next time.

rg now you need a air brush for the powder paint .. they are messy and waste a lot of paint but to get a real even multi tone coat it is the only way... you could also check out automotive powder paint sold at harbor freight and summit racing etc...but not sure how they would be...

Dom: the line rests in a notch in the end of the brass rod, there's a spike that the eyelet rests on, the coat hanger trigger on youtube would work just as well.

Buy the big bottle of Loon. Got it on eBay for about $25. Last a long time. Buy the thick stuff. Warm it up if you want it thinner. Keep the cap on during use. Don't buy their uv light. Get a uv laser pen off eBay. Something close to 405nm.

That mouse is very neat...nice collection RG...wanted to show you this style jig I like your thread I don't tie many flys but I do tie a ton of bucktails ...mainly walleye size 3/8 & 1/2...this style head...(walleye w socket eye) is for fishing rocky bottoms the old style has ball collar or just hook shaft...these "newer" style has ball and also holder can get them down to 1/32 I believe...just a different style to try ..you probably seen these before just I haven't seen any here [img][/%20Uploads/20160208_213209.jpg.htmlhttp://i260.photobucket.com/albums/ii21/bucketbass/Mobile%20Uploads/20160208_213209.jpg[/URL]img]

could be a Phillipson or a Fenwick or maybe even a Siliflex.
