I've really upgraded for ice fishing this year. Bought a new Marcum LX7, new ice fishing rods, pflueger president reels, a bunch of new tackle and plastics. Going to try and be more mobile this year, and not have to deal with live bait unless the bite is tough.

4 wheeler...got tired of the 1+ mile trek across the ice, especially when lots of snow on it.

I got rattled in with buckshot rattle spoons. ( you know...lures don't need to attract fish, just us fishermen). And a digital depth finder for the FL 20.
Always trying to catch those light bitin lethargic sons of fishes.

I bought a Striker floating suit. At the end of last season, I bought a Nils 6 inch auger. I like it much better than my gas auger. The Nils blows through the ice and is light as a feather. Starts every time and the battery doesn't ever go dead, haha.

I would like to get a pair of Muck Arctic Pro Sports. I like the looks of those Frabill Recon sleds too.

Gonna pick up some Baffin Impacts this year, see if i can cure my ice cube foot problem. Also upgrading to an Otter pro xt1200 cabin. And lastly either buying a helix 5 ice or trying to find a pack to put the 688 out of my boat in, I want the lakemaster chip with me lol.

Got a one man suitcase style shelter that's been used a couple of times. (circa 1999) Working on finishing a smitty sled for it. Also upgrading my ice cleats after purchasing my wife a pair of Kahtoola micro spikes last season.
So many fish, so little time.

Not just for ice fishing, but I'm getting a truck camper.  Will make camping while ice fishing much nicer!

I picked up an FL-18 in March for my birthday, and have been driving myself nuts waiting all this time to get out and use it.  Not ready for the snow, but more than ready for the ice.  Hope it takes some of the Dead Sea out of Cooney this winter!

Was thinking of getting one of those new iBobber fish finders. I do not see why you could not just put it in the same hole you are fishing in and just link it to your phone or tablet. Seems like a good way to go to me!

Started out only needing a replacement drill for my Clam plate ....boy was I wrong.. turns out I "needed" more stuff...got an Vexilar FL12 head unit so as to have a spare/buddy unit..a shovel last year taught me  ,plastic ice scoop with a chipper, some GoPro type mounts to mount my AV Micros ,new plastics and some tungsten jigs  just cause, new thermal base layers last year again taught me ...not sure that's all though.

Before you shell out for the Muck Actic Pros, seriously check out the LaCrosse Aeroheads. VERY forgiving and comfortable boot. Soft but very rugged, and warm with just thin socks on.

Best boot I have ever owned in my life.

I bought an 8" Ion & an Eskimo Quickfish 2. With my luck, there won't be any ice until late Jan or early Feb.

New LX6s for me, I hope it works out. I was using a HB 561 with Real Time Sonar which worked very well. But I'm hoping to do better with the LX6.

Scheels in Billings had them last year.

I have had a Striker bib/jacket for years and love it.
