Was in the high country elk hunting and got snowed on Tuesday, it froze every night up there last week

Just looked at the long range forecast again. Might be a little tough to get on the ice before November this year but my schedule might not allow that either way. Not looking so great.

If I can motivate myself this year, I'd like to ice Harvey or Rifle Gap. Other than that, I'm looking to focus on some small front range waters, out east when it freezes and maybe a trip or two to Nebraska.

A few years ago I was on the ice on November 7th. That is about 44 days from now.

Getting so pumped! Spent some time today writing down a list of the lakes I plan to target this year. Hoping to get on somewhere late October or early November. Don't loose faith, Fishslap!

Then heading out West to the Gaps a couple of times, and I'm hoping my front range bass and perch spots come back stronger this year....Last year they weren't so hot, but we'll see. And a few trips up to WY and maybe one or two to NE/KS. Hope there's enough time for all that!

Bass-Did you ever get to NE that year when we talk? I heard last year was on fire for some Jumbos and Monster Gills.

Slayer- Are you planning any Trips to SM Res in Loveland this year? I plan too since I went this fall and did good on the Jumbos

Hell yeah, Slayer -- count me in. I wanted to try that place last year, but it just didn't happen. There are a few other front range perchy places I hope to get to produce this season, too.

Those are from last season, won't be icing any perch in Colorado until early-mid December I'm guessing.

The forecast for later on this week is lows in the 20's for the Dillon Area.
I retire on the 19th. of November, so I'm looking to hit it hard this year! Good Icing!
