Adirondack Pack Baskets

The Flying Eyeball basket has been retired due to wear and tear. I'm starting to look around at wooden packs. I was looking at their site. Anyone have one or dealt with the company?

If you are looking for a working basket try looking at traping supply places.

wwwfntpost.com is a good one. They generally ship same day. The baskets are made to with stand the abuse of a trap line

I don't have any experience with those baskets but they look real nice.  I have L.L. Bean's  jumbo Allagash pack basket and like it a lot.  No matter what basket you get I'd put a few coats of lin seed oil on it to protect it.

Thanks for the input all. I plan on embellishing the pack like the old Flying Eyeball so I like the smaller and tighter weave of the basket lady's packs. I am looking at the Loring's which are awesome but I don't think I could paint that material as I believe it would probably scratch off. The Flying Eyeball was a Bean's Allagash which survived 6 years I could probably bring it back ;D. Anyway I appreciate the comments. Once I make a decision I will post the painting project...

The Loring certainly doesn't have the same "look and feel" of an Adirondack, but as far as functional and durable, you can't beat the Loring, I like mine a lot, the liner with 5 trap pockets it sweet.
