After a one year break......
« on: Aug 01, 2015, 08:01 AM »
This year I have decided to come back to ice shanty!  You rotten sob's ain't getting another year without me!  : )

Vexilar sucks, Marcum is better
Otter is the best and all others are weak
I am the best walleye angler in Indiana
No I will not give you my numbers, but I expect to be given all yours!
Tuned Up Customs is the best custom rod maker

On a serious note, all the above was meant to make people laugh. The last year of my life has been a big kick in the crotch. Just last week got kick again and lost my job where I was at for 18 years. Unemployed for the first time in my life. I have finally learned what God has been trying to tell me for years. Friends and family are the most important thing you have, not money.

So in closing, I'm back and look forward to hearing from all my old friends from the past.

I hope everyone is well!!!  Talk to you all soon!

Welcome Back Steuben1 good luck in your job search. I also agree about friends and family unfortunately we sometimes forget their importance until some major event happens in our life.

Sorry about your situation.  Remember 4 Months till Ice Fishing.

Now to the evil part.
Vexilar is better(just because it is idiot proof)
Otter is the best yes but the best for the money hands down is clam.
I will give you that you are the best Walleye Wrangler in Indiana (because I haven't fished there yet)
My number is 876-5309
And TUCR is the best (Unless you build your own, then the sentimentality takes over)

Also meant for fun, I realize that everyone has there own preference.  Maybe that should be a new topic.  Everyone Lists their favorite equipment, no bashing just to see what everyones setup is.
Is the ice thick enough yet?

Welcome back Steuben. It's great to see you back. I voice my opinions alot too and run my Stink Hole more often than I should but when your Stink Holes full of crap as I am it tends to run out of every Stink Hole. Otter rocks, Striker ice suits rock! I only looked into those because you owned both the AA and Striker and there's no comparison imo Striker crushes AA. As far as electronics who cares both have pluses and minuses but they all work fine. Ice rods it's however a Stink Hole fishes as to who likes what. Glad your back though and who cares if we don't always agree nothing wrong with it. Have to hook up sometime I've got a Stink Hole up on Jimmerson in Steuben if that's where your from.

:callcops: Just thought I`d help,, Your welcome  )

That's some funny stuff there but I agree Marcum is better.  I hope everything works out for you and you have a good season.

If you really want to be welcomed back give up those gps numbers and all directions and manuals to how to catch walleyes. Good luck to you and now knowing what is important I'm sure things will work out.

It's real good to have you back.

I have 4 of the TUCR's and they are the best. I would say that it is tough to beat the Shappell for the price. I am sure tempted to go Marcum because of the updates and having both flasher and digital in the same unit.

Hopefully that western basin locks up again this winter and we can get the crew back out for some hogs  ;D
That's some tasty iced tea.
