AQUA-VU model s-100
« on: Jun 30, 2015, 06:05 AM »
Does anyone have or or have used an AQUA-VU Model s-100 spool series underwater camera?  Are they any good, any problems with them, what did you like and dislike about it, and what's it worth?  Thanks for the info.

I believe its the same camera as their DT series ..with a spoiling reel for cable deployment and larger display monitor .

If the cable actually spools off it may be easier to deploy as opposed to the DT case/model  ..and with its base/mount should be easier to set on the ice or atop a bucket .

Thanks for posting a pic of the camera. Sorry to say I don't know anything about that model.

I don't know how new the camera is but it looks like the one Hardwater posted.  The price isn't too bad but I'm wondering how difficult it is move the camera around, if they're know for any problems, and how well they work.  I'd rather save the money rather than buying it and finding out it was a waste or nothing but problems.

It would just as difficult as the old DT models to move/set up . Picking up the cable and moving can be cumbersome ...when I had my DT I found it heavy and then left it home after some time ..the DT.. the monitor is small so lost its appeal ... I didn't use it for 7 plus years .Last year went with the Micro 5 w/DVR...now that comes out with me all the time . Was thinking of going with a Vexilar as they have an add on for recording for under $100 bucks before going with the Micro.

How do you make the camera rotate?
