Is there a gathering where you guys get a bunch of newbies together for introduction to ice fishing? I have some older traps, cleats, wicker basket etc that I haven't used in years that I could donate. Don't hear of any scouts around here that do the ice fishing thing. Live on the north shore but can deliver as I travel.

Troop 4480 in Kingston mass could use them.   We ( son is a member) introduced them to ice fishing and they  took to it like ...like Boy Scouts to a fun outdoor activity     I put together a ten trap set out of my surplus and had a welder friend glue a car spring on a black iron pipe - nice chisel actually
