NEK open water?
« on: Apr 13, 2015, 09:02 AM »
Any open lakes in up there? Thinking of heading to Willoughby with our boat.
Perch bait- a small minnow that can have big results in the ice fishing game.  :icefish:

I was on Seymour sat 4/11 and still 2-3 feet of snow around the lake. By days end 4/13 a foot of snow had disappeared
although lake still looked like late winter conditions. I think ice out is at least another week away.

What's the ice situation on Willoughby now?  I'm bringing my boat up to camp tomorrow.

Any one been by Caspian lately??  Is it open?  Looking forward to hitting it with the boat this year ... have never been on Caspian in open water season.

Crayfish, I was there this am. It is wide open. The parking lot at the launch is a mess wheel ruts, potholes and standing water.
Good luck and let me know how you make out.

Yes everything's open and fish able , it's been a great spring for fishing up here.
Just watch out for debris floating out there.

Thanks for the updates, guys!  Hopefully we'll make it up there in a couple of weeks.  I'll be out of town this coming weekend but it's for a good reason .... I'll be fishing Lake Ontario!
