Decided to take a ride Friday afternoon after work and check out a little local pond that ices in real good. I was surprised when I got there and the edges were not open. I chisled my way out and cleaned out out an old hole and found quite a bit of ice so I decided to go Saturday or Sunday morning for a few hours. Woke up to Saturday's winds and cancelled that so I headed over Sunday morning. When I got to the parking spot I was greeted by an empty Budweiser can. Picked it up and put it in the truck. As I headed down to the pond another Bud can. I noticed a bait bucket (cheapo) on the ice and checked it out. I looked back toward shore and saw this.

The slobs put there Bud cans in the trees. I was going to use their holes but decided that I didn't want to be associated with them so I cut 6 new ones. I was surprised to see 18" of ice. Stayed for 2 hours had 5 flags, iced 1 small rainbow (put back), picked some buds off the trees and went home and put the ice fishing gear in storage.

On to MFF.

Also running into slobs went smelting last night with same results a parking lot full of empty bud cans. Some just don't get it Denny.

Stopped by Drew lake with my 7 year old daughter to cast a few left over bait, bud cans all over the edge of the lake, some burnt, so someone had a fire on the ice and trashed the place! Once again can't wait for these places to be locked up and fishing rights taken away cause a few guys can't bring a trash bag and dump it a the first gas station they drive by!

Just got 50 cents/pound for aluminum last week. Why not bring a bag, throw them in the bed of the truck, and use the proceeds for more beer? It adds up! Not only are they slobs, but they aren't very fiscally responsible.

50 cents/pound I would be RICH. Guinea what do you say to the cop when he pulls you over for a bad tailpipe and sees the beer cans in the bed of you truck?

Well, I suppose it is easier for me to hide a bag of cans since I have a cap. But when you have all the fishing gear in back, you can say that you just picked up after some slobs. (There's usually a bag with empty worm containers, etc. too, to back that up.)
