opening day
« on: Apr 09, 2015, 12:27 PM »
Took a ride this morning:
Hatch pond north and south end open everything else is ice.
Leonard pond 3/4 open at boat ramp.
Mud pond still mostly ice.
Mohawk locked up walk out from the boat ramp little open water. Cornwall rd. and road to the boat ramp have frost heaves and large holes drive slow.
Mt. Tom They were just cleaning the snow off the road. Still ice to the beach few open spots. Rt. 202 has about 20 foot hole open at the shore the rest is all ice.
Will try and get to Mohawk and Mt. Tom Friday.

Hogsback is nearly completely locked.  Bring a 20' plank and your ice gear if you want to hit it for the opener!  Colebrook much the same.
i know you are not endorsing such a foolish move, seeing as you already gave it up for the season. however, there are some idiots that will be tempted to try it just to show how tough they are. find a place without ice, guys. dont go swimming.
wishing i was still young
