The news had a piece on this morning about  hunting on Sunday . I can't find any other info on it ?  It would be nice to have the ability to hunt 2 days a week . It would double the hunting days available to the tax paying working man .

That's what they were trying to do last year..ban the hunting of bears over bait , with the aid of dogs and traps.. we can't use big leg hold traps, it exceeds the allowable open jaw regulation.. only allowed to use leg snares.. if they ever get it to pass there will be ALOT of bears around.. I saw this the other day, pretty neat family tree of  a bear in maine they have been following for a while.. really shows how many bears can be born and are out here..

out of one bear in 1979, has 105 bears this year..

Not looking too good for Sunday hunting, Gasblaster

http://www.georgesmithmaine.com/articles/georges-outdoor-news/april/2015/never-sunday-maine-hunters

It is too bad Maine will never have Sunday hunting.  I personally think the threats of reduced/denied access are over blown.
It would be nice to be able to hunt two days a week.  Sunday hunting with land owner permission seems reasonable.
With such a hunting/sporting heritage, it is ironic that these pursuits are not allowed 7 days week in Maine.
