Anyone wants to fish out the next few days can; but I'm callin' it-especially after our member johnnybass fell through+made the evening news yesterday:-I'm done!-I suggest anyone who really wants to put out flags on ice on opening day do so out of an inflatable raft wearing pfd's!-I'm off to prep. the open-water rods for next week! It was an unreal ice season this year!-Hope everyone had fun!-See you all next year!

Been done for a couple weeks ice to soft now not going swimming see everybody next season stay safe

A week ago was my last trip. Packed all the gear away on Saturday just so I wouldn't be tempted to try again. I'm not a young man anymore and have NO DESIRE to go swimming. No fish is worth it to me.

Time to work on the boats and prepare for the next season. Good luck all!

Got my last fix in on Saturday...  :o in southern CT!! :o

I did play it safe and never took my other foot off the dock. A couple others ventured on to the ice, rumor has it one of them went armpit deep, YIKES!!

Not even enough ice by the docks the next day, 8+ Friday night, 6 on Saturday, slush Sunday, and its all but gone today.
