Guys sorry for the rant I know there's bigger issues out there in the world today but when someone dose this it reflects all of us I can see some one walking there dog or non fisherman seeing this it's hard to defend the rights of sportsman when the ice is a dumping ground there was a lot of wood and butts on the ice and yes fish eat them maybe the antis are right some times I wonder

I agree! Bass fisherman constantly throw them in the lake during their weekend tournaments in front of my camp.... makes me angrier than ever! its either the cig butts or they are hooking onto my dock and boat with their jigs. I am a sportsman, and I cant stand those tournaments! So it is not just ice fisherman giving us a bad name! It is not all of them, but enough of them for people to make a generalization, even myself!

 Sorry for my rant!

How about the slob smokers that stop at a stop light or stop sign and empty their ashtrays on the road!! As for the other slobs that leave teir garbage all over the ice and come back the next Year to find their access places POSTED will cry the blues. If you bring it in with you be courteous and SMART enough to put it in a bag and take it back out with you.

The only way this will stop is if FG tickets the offenders during random stops! Littering is up to $250 I think... At $250 per butt maybe those clowns can't afford to destroy the grounds next year!

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

The really sad thing is, most smokers dont think that throwing butts out anywhere is littering

I would not pick those up without gloves. Sorry but these days with all the stuff out there... The moral of the story is someone else picking them up should not of been an option! I can no longer hit a go to trout spot in the spring because the road access got closed due to slobs leaving trash around... It cost my son about 5-10 quick trips a year being that it was only minutes from the house!

Completely understand and agree that this wrong. However, I don't think leaving them behind and being mad about it is any better. I'm sure there MAY have been a way to dispose of them and keep at least 8 fish alive. Chisel, scoop, napkin, something creative. In my opinion - 2 lessons learned for us all. 1. - Don't litter. 2. - I bet we are all going to bring rubber gloves next time, right?
Just add water.
