One more day
« on: Apr 01, 2015, 08:23 PM »
How are the edges on bow lake? I'm hoping to get one more day in with a friend with this warm weather approaching,  it may be a long shot but if anyone could send some intel my way I'd appreciate. I don't want to make the trip and have to turn around because it isn't safe. I'm shooting for Friday.

I was out today at an undisclosed body of water in Dunbarton. the Ice was roughly a foot thick with a rotted ice surface and approx. 10 inches of black ice underneath. the shore was just starting to show signs of "loosening up", but I was able to walk right out.
The only slushy spot was where the sleds and atvs had chopped up the ice near the boat ramp, like they do on every pond/lake.

I managed to jig up a bass and a bunch of sunfish.

I can hear the fat lady singing and it's getting louder and louder!!!
