Last chance to score on ice….

Little that I know that my Grandson would be on "spring break" yesterday, the last day of the regular ice fishing season. So last minute plans for 1 more chance to try his luck at ESL for that elusive 5th Master Angler perch he needed for his Perch Specialist badge. We did the run & gun all morning without much success. Around 1PM, the perch arrived and the action was non-stop for 4.5 hours. I'm proud to say he succeeded in achieving his goal with a chunky 14.25 incher. His next quest will be Walleye and Rainbows and I'm looking forward to sharing those times with him. Congrats Lil Blue  :clap: :thumbsup:
A big "Thank You" goes out to the fisherman that gave us his leftover live minnows as he was leaving the ice. When we started using them it seemed to fire up the bite.

Hey Blue, congrats to your grandson. It's great when you can take a kid out and show him how we were brought up. I've taken my son out every weekend this winter except for one weekend. He loves it and has caught a master walleye before his old man, but it was as if I caught it!

Congrats lil blue, on your fishing achievement and good job blue for taking him out all those times to get it in the first place. ;)

Just smacking my lips looking at those perch lol  Am I alone or are there others who prefer perch to  walleye ?  Absolutely fantastic tasting fish

I was out targeting  Browns yesterday but only landed 15 Rainbows  ::)
