Just picked up a med/light beam straight line combo. Anyone ever used them? I like the quick change blank idea

I have one of the metalhead styles with a couple different blanks. l used it all seson as my backup an ultralight. It's been a good rod so far.

I was looking at getting some new blanks what do you recommend for perch? Does the ultra light have enough back bone to reel up some good fish

I went with one of these this year. I like it a lot! I got a spinning combo with a medium/light rod setup. Very good sensitivity and hooksets are a breeze. The reel seems to be very smoothe and no line twisting so far. A little pricy but this was the only equipment purchase this year so ... who cares? I can make this one last a long time!
