Hows the dillonback bay been. Has the pike or pan fish shown up yet?

Someone told me that the pike are out of season? Is there any truth to this? I haven't had a chance to look on fish and game wildlife website yet. Just figured I could find the answer here.

No, pike is still in season.  There is no closed season for pike on Champlain.

That's what I thought but wasn't 100% sure. Thank you

I went back to dillonback and it did suck this time. Well did catch 20 pike and 3 bowfin, but the pike were all small. Also wasnt to impressed with the bait at dockside. Bought 2 dozen pike bait shiners that cost me like $24. They were not even the size of normal mediums.

Throw a 7-8" white perch on yer tipup for pike, they like to eat them too.

4" pumpkinseed or golden shiners. As sunfish guys, we are very popular with the pike fisherman.
