Hello,
Just looking for some basic advice. Lots of people talking about jigging, I've heard any silver/blue jig the key since the alewives have been increasing in population ...
Thanks,

I've got a few on these jigging 6 feet down have your drag set loose salmon hit hard and with not much line out its easy to snap them off. http://www.swedishpimple.com/html/swedishpimple/ice/pink-ice.html

X2 I have put a very small shiner on the pimple. I like glow or green prism taped ones. Can’t remember the size but about 2” not counting the hook.

I have also caught them on crappie jigs. A #6 “Big Max” with just the tail part of a white or fire tiger triple tip twister tail. I had mousses on them, but would go with a small piece of cut bait.
