It was a great season! I got in some TREMENDOUS days of fishing. And no two ways about it, the finest tasting fresh fish is the fish you pull through the ice! Even though I never brought home more than 15 fish on a single outing, I managed to catch over 100 fish per day on all but one day of fishing this season. The slow day I probably still caught 30 fish but only kept enough for a few meals for the family through the whole season.
Still it's really nice to keep and throw back all the fish I wanted to.
Exceptional season! And after my accident where doctors and therapists were assuring me I'd never be able to hunt or fish again (two years ago), this was a very sweet victory!
