His first and only ice fishing trip this season….

Because of my Grandson's nose surgery just before Xmas, he wasn't allowed to be out in the cold according to his surgeon otherwise he could endure lifelong frostbite pain. So yesterday, we headed to ESL to finish his quest of a Perch Specialist (his first) needing only 1 more. We fished from 8am to 4pm and moved twice. We found lots of small perch and 20-24 inch pike but no jumbo perch   
He had fun using his new Marcum and fighting those pesky pike. Although he did not succeed in his goal, he had a blast nonetheless. Together we created more memories and on the ride home made plans for our next adventures together. I had a blast sharing my knowledge with my one and only grandchild. Looking forward to creating more memories with him in the future.
As I always say, "We don't always remember days, but we remember moments".
