Not sure about you guys , but I had one hell of a year on LAKE WPG ,
from December to end of march , LAKE WPG produces some the biggest walleyes in the world (legendary GREEN BACKS)
Put this fishery on your top list to come out and try , PROMISE you won't be disappointed
Well it finally came to a end for me , fished the last ice fishing trip on Lake Wpg today
had the pleasure to fish with some awesome folks this year , and THANK YOU for the GOODTIMES. (you guys all know you are) Thanks
Today We had such a epic fishing trip .. we unloaded quads at chalet beach landing , pretty torn up and bumpy , but once you cross the pressure ridges it smooth sailing
it was 6 of us on two quads , pretty red neck style of travelling , but its all about just getting out there in one piece , which we did ,
plus it makes for laughs all the way out to the spot and stories to tell later ,,
me and buddy from WPG, 2 guys from Virden Mb and two awesome cool cats from Nebraska ,, we also hooked up with some of my north Dakota boys ,
drove out 15km from chalet beach landing ,
set up a spot that we though would be good ,,, no go
after half hour I
started hearing voices in my head (MOVE) (MOVE)
just as I was going to say move , Nebraska yells out
LET'S F&*@'IN MOVE..
took us no more then 10 mins to pack up and GONE
we drove and drove until we looked each other and just stopped and nodded
'this is it boys"
Soon as we set up .
We seen monster red marks on the flashers . MONSTER MARKS
but would they bite? ... NOOOoooo... *****s
so sat there and
worked those fish for like an hour man...
FINALLY one of the SOB took the bait
and it was a Trophy Greenback
all morning we were yelling out to each other , BIG MARK
OH SH%T BIG BIG MARK

HOLY SH%T ME TOO
we did this for a few hours and then we would break in-between with a safety meeting and laugh and shoot the s#%T
FISHING WAS FUN TODAY ... THE REAL MARCH MADNESS AT ITS BEST....
salted minnows and 1/4oz jig heads was the number one lure today , but did catch on spoons and rattle baits , it was a 100 plus walleye day for us..
o yeah buddy caught a 28" walleye and pulled out a 10" cisco from its throat , holy crap man ,
that explains why these new hot slender fluttering spoons are working so good , these dam big walleyes are eating tulibees
your bait is never to big ..
