March 30 or earlier... Sun is going to wreck the ice this week and then we might get some rain on Thursday.

Perch bait- a small minnow that can have big results in the ice fishing game.  :icefish:

That might be close for some parts of the inland sea that have over 30" of ice now!  But the broad lake in front of Burlington ... I'm guessing April Fool's Day, 4/1/15.

That would be awesome if it was true. I could ice fish that day and then next weekend fish  the LCI. LOL
I do all types of fishing; but I am Die hard Ice angler.
I love Ice Fishing the lakes of Rutland County. Recently moved to NY and now will be Ice fishing the Lakes Of New York.

Fished the Champlain Bridge Sunday afternoon and there's "open water" once again below associated with both the termoconduction of it's piers and lake water current that contributes typically to a late freeze/early thaw in the immeadiate vacinity.

thanks for posting this those areas your talking at never safe even when there is ice and are the ist to open up. hardwater fisherman be extremly careful anyhwere near the bridge pillars and the crown point pier.
