Just fished Christina lake last weekend, The ice is a good 30 inches thick with about 2 feet of snow on top, its all my auger would do to go threw to the water.. The only issue is when we drilled holes , the water would gush out of the holes flooding the lake with about a foot of water and slush, making it a challenge to fish in a foot of standing water in your shanty. The wind was horrible as usual with wind gust up to 30mph during the day and 70mph at night.. Fishing was over all decent with catching Lake macs that averaged 16-24 inches long, using minnows. Caught about 7 or so... The only advice I can give is plan for fishing with a foot of water and slush ontop of the ice and excessive wind, and your little buddy heater will/ NOT work up in that elevation due to the low oxygen sensor.. The Olympian catalytic heater worked great... Pics on Facebook under Cory Landis is your Interested!!!
