Exploring Saskatchewan and Alberta Some Big Fish!
« on: Mar 14, 2015, 08:22 PM »
Had a great week... weather was awesome... too awesome.  I think it shut down the fishing and they were behaving sorta funny.  Tough, but we were able to find a few fish willing to bite.  Fished 6 lakes in all, 4 brand new ones to us and had a great trip!  Hope you enjoy the pics.  Once again lure of choice was the slender spoon, but the cicada also came in handy.  A small glow ratzo also took quite a few perch.  Jaw Jacker did its share of the damage on the walleye.

Day #1

She loves the MarCum-

Mom got a good one when she picked up my dads rod for a few minutes-

Couldn't separate them-

The whole family-

Day #2 was super slow, fished so hard for very slow fishing.
The only walleye -

The only big perch, at least she was a dandy -

Day #3
Hit one lake and too much snow to drive on so we walked out and only caught one pike.  Decided to ditch that lake and hit another.  Turned into a Perch Fest.  They weren't big but plentiful.

Day #4 Was the coldest day of all.  A strong east wind blowing and -5C.  Fish were in a major negative mood.  Had to really convince them.  After some searching had decent results.

Last Day #5 went to Pigeon Lake to Fill some Tags before we had to eat Tag Soup.  Another slow day but managed to fill some tags.
