WORDEN POND
« on: Mar 09, 2015, 03:29 PM »
Jigged past three days at Worden Pond.
Couple of chain pickerel, yellow perch and five pound large mouth bass.
Trying to beat my 13 1/2 pound northern pike jigged up a few years back.

Wow. That is impressive. I know from experience that those storm wildeye shad are DEADLY on stripers in 4 or 5", but I have never thought about using them in a vertical presentation... I have wanted to try  catching an ice pike on a large Mepps Syclone or even a Daredevl spoon.

Heads up to other people who fish Wordens. Last week we had two kids that looked under 12 YOA that repeatedly buzzed our
setup. The next time they got really brazen and headed straight at us only to veer away at the last minute. They came by one more time and we told them to move off as they were getting to close, they finally left only to return about 5 minutes later with their father who
came out looking for a fight. Then he actually said that he would kill anyone who messed with his kids(I can only wonder what they told him). This jerk never even bothered to ask what happened never mind that his kids were recklessly operating a motor vehicle. I just offer this in case someone else runs into this individual. We probably should have called the Police but it all happened so fast.

Should've laid him out on the ice and all 3 would have been taught a lesson!  :o
