Ice is VERY thick..hope you got strong shoulders cause you'll be cranking that auger for a little while. The bite has been pretty bad for most everyone the past couple weeks with very few guys being the exception. I fished it a couple times earlier this week and i managed a handful of keepers each time out but the guys I fished with or even fished around had nothing to take home..very different bite from years past. Lots of lookers but no takers. Ive been saying it all winter...but the bite has to turn on before we see the last of the ice.
