Who lost or knows someone who lost something through the ice this year and what was it? My manager, she lost a brand new laser auger through the 3rd hole she drilled with it.

A buddy lost two jig sticks out of his pal that was in the back of his truck but I was a nice guy and let him use one of my poles

My fishing buddy lost a $300 pair of prescription glasses. Marked the spot on the GPS and will hopefully find them this spring. (only 7 ft of water, no current)

Same day he dropped a ice cleat down the hole without realizing it, probably while using his foot to sweep away the ice shavings after drilling the hole, then caught it on his jig a little bit later. That did not make him feel better about losing his glasses

I have never lost anything of real value down a hole. Lures, hooks and weights mostly.

lost an auger this year but not down the hole...forgot to put it in my buddies truck. came back and it was gone lol hope whoever took it is enjoying the new blades on it.

Lets see...lost my buddies bottom half auger piece threw the hole, a brand new jiffy propane. Luckily it was in 6 FOW and came back the next day with a magnet, after half hour hooked up on it! Last week same buddy dropped iphone down the hole.

Lost my cell phone down the hole a couple years ago. Now I always put the speaker on and set it down inside the sled. The only drawback is that people think I'm talking to them as they pass by !

A month ago while packing up to leave I decided to text the wife and let her know I was leaving . I then placed the phone ( new Galaxy S5 ) in my jacket pocket instead of the bib pocket and guess what ? yup ...down the hole it went when I bent over to pull up my transducer. Told the wife its all her fault, that didn't fly though ....lol ..Lesson learned !!!!
