Cheshire is Shallow, there are a few spots better than others, but overall one spot is as good as another if you are just trying to get a pike. Due to how shallow it is and the fact that it is chemically controlled for weeds, oxygen levels are very low and the fish are pretty inactive right now. Maybe as some ice begins to melt it will get better. Good Luck.

Do you know if they control the weeds in all the sections?  I tried fishing the middle section from my kayak and it was unfishable unless you were ripping frogs over the weeds.  I got some good blow ups but didn't have a stiff enough rod to get a good hookset.

Paul will correct me if I am wrong but I believe that they treat the northern basin [First] only. The middle basin [Second] reflects what the whole lake would look like if nothing was done.
Being on ice is nice but the tug is the drug.
