Puppy Love. 3/2
« on: Mar 03, 2015, 09:35 AM »
After Shoe confirmed fishable ice, I started calling and found 3 other fools to join me in the pursuit of true Love.

Slush, snow, and iffy ice were barely noticed as we sought our soul mates.

This must be Love, but no inter-racial dating allowed!

Could this be a pile of lust?

Solitude-

Finally Love-

But alas, the Ice and with it Love, is gone-

Its 1.5-2 miles to the dam.  From there you gotta walk the trail up and down for another 1.5-2miles.  Then you fish around there if the ice is good but if it isnt you must hike the hills again for another mile or so to the inlet.

The pile o perch is about 4 miles from the car.

Use it or lose it.  Besides come summer most of the high lakes I fish are 5-6 miles one way.  When we Backpack the winds we go a minimum of 11-13 miles one-way in around 6 hrs with a full pack. At altitude.  Keeps one young.

Nice job!  I'd prefer catching a pile of perch like that over catching all the slimers in the world.  And I'd hike uphill 5 miles in a storm to catch them.  Best eating fish in the world.

I don't have to ask the Doc if I'm healthy enough for sex, so maybe I could make that hike without having a heart attack ?  ;D ;D ;D ;D

I love catching and eating perch.  I miss the panfish of my youth in the Midwest.  Trout are a dime a dozen around here; so, when I get a chance to catch anything else, it is a treat.  Love the scenery at this location, too.  All the suckers make me think the place needs better predatory fish - pike, walleyes, tigers, lakers, something.
