Central MA report - Slow weekend for me
« on: Mar 02, 2015, 08:47 PM »
Saturday - Chauncy Lake -a pickerel and a blue gill is all I managed to muster.  I lost a bass at the hole on a jig stick. A fisherman next to me caught two decent large mouths- beautiful day though.

Sunday - East Brimfield Reservoir - between three of us just 5 pickerel and 1 large mouth.  My first visit to this body of water.

Looking forward to a few more weeks on the hard water to redeem myself.

is the pursuit of what is elusive
but attainable, a perpetual series
of occasions for hope.  - John Buchan -

Saturday was slow for me as well 3 of us managed one pickerel and a bass on big dead baits. Weather was perfect my 3 and a half year old put in 10hrs no problem never got cold.   Fyi 5 picks and a bass is a good day on east brim, spent an entire winter there one year looking for giants managed 2 pike in close to 30 trips and only a handful of bass.

Sunday was pretty slow during the morning for me in grafton, but it really heated up in the afternoon with a bunch of flags topped of with a 5.2 largemouth.

I did ok numbers wise at the dead sea but nothing of any size, only bass and picks. Quite a few flags, was tuff to keep them down for a while. Bite died @ 130 and I stayed to 330 hoping for a comeback.
